Wareham
Dorset

Thomas Edward Lawrence.jpg

Wareham is a must visit town when heading into the Purbecks. I may be a little bias as I used to work nearby at the RSPB nature reserve at Arne and I would stop here often for lunch and shopping on my may home. In this walk though we are not browsing the range of independent shops and cafes, but taking a look at the abundance of history to be found here. While this is a fairly easy walk, if you want to walk the top of the town walks, there will be one or two steep steps up and down. The walk can be mirrored from below, but you miss out on some of the views.
