This episode I wanted to cover a handful of graves, for which I had limited information. In episode one we covered the case of Rose Harsent and it was widely covered in contemporary press and has since been discussed a lot. There was a wealth of information available. This is rarely the case with less famous graves. In this episode we covered the humble grave of a workman, accidentally killed on his first day at work. Then we head to a cemetery nearby where his accident occurred, to visit the grave of a young woman murdered and left in the woods near her home. We finish with two graves of the second world war. All of these stories were mentioned in the newspapers of the time, but none of which I felt I could make into a good solo episode, so I've grouped them into a Barrow in Furness linked episode.

If you're inspired to visit more graves in the area, I recommend visiting the excellent website 'Furness - The Stories Behind The Stones'
